Scholars of Sustenance (SOS) is a premier food rescue foundation committed to tackling food waste
and food insecurity. We rescue surplus food to feed those in need, protect the environment, and educate
the community on nutrition and sustainability.Purpose of the Position
As the Phuket Manager, you are the strategic lead for our Southern Thailand operations. You are
responsible for the entire ecosystem: from identifying and securing high-level food and fund donors to
overseeing the safe redistribution of food to recipient communities. This role is a blend of Partnership
Development, Operations Management, and Community Advocacy.Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily scheduling, planning, implementation, and monitoring of all SOS
- Plan and optimize food collection routes to maximize efficiency and reach.
- Supervise the proper handling, sorting, and storage of all food within the branch to
- Maintain accurate records of all programs and troubleshoot operational issues with
- Supervise, train, and mentor the Phuket staff to ensure a high-performing and
- Conduct regular team meetings and provide clear, consistent communication
- Stay accountable for overall team performance and provide regular constructive
- Maintain positive, professional relationships with all Phuket stakeholders, including
- Proactively research and explore new partnership opportunities to expand both food
- Act as the face of SOS Phuket at meetings, conferences, and community events to
- Oversee program costs and supply ordering while ensuring the branch operates
- Track and log for ensuring data is ready for management review.
- Experience: Background in Sale or Hotel Hospitality is strongly preferred.
- Language: Fluent in written and spoken Thai and English.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced Microsoft Office (Excel, Word).
- Personal Attributes: Energetic, proactive, and highly organized with a deep commitment to the
- Salary: Negotiable based on experience.
- Schedule: 40 hours per week.
- Leave: 10 days annual vacation 14 public holidays.
- Probation: 90-day period.
