Based in Bangkok, Thailand, the Business Development Manager/Senior Business Development Manager (BDM/SBDM) will work as part of Enterprise Singapore’s Bangkok Overseas Centre.The BDM/SBDM will provide market intelligence and business development support to Singapore-based companies expanding their businesses or seeking to establish a presence in Thailand. They will also promote trade and investment between Singapore and Thailand. This is a 2-year contract role.The role and responsibilities include:
Guide Singapore-based companies in expanding their business to Thailand through sound understanding of the business landscape, local regulations and business norms. You will develop a pipeline of prospective deals involving Singapore-based companies and help close them.
Monitor the business environment and conduct market research to identify and share key growth and investment opportunities. Key interest areas include but are not limited to data centres development, digitalisation (fintech, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence), healthcare and biomedical, and innovation.
Establish and maintain relationships with public and private sector partners that can support Singapore-based companies with their business plans in Thailand.
Perform activities necessary to deliver on the responsibilities above, including supporting business development trips and visits by delegations from Singapore, writing of meeting reports, and some data analysis of business leads to better shape future strategies.
