Department: R&D PlasterJob Location: Saraburi 1 PlantReport to: Business Director PlastersThe R&D Manager- Plasters leads the Research and development function developing the industrial plaster and joint compound products for Knauf Plaster Thailand which are supplied in the APAC region. Working together with multiple stakeholders such as sales, category management and plant teams identifies opportunities, develops and implement new products and innovation for these product categories in markets served by Knauf APAC, including enhancing product quality for customer satisfaction. The successful candidate will be a dynamic, hands on proactive individual, friendly and has logic thinking, commercial acumen and management skill who can motivate and effectively work within the management team of Knauf Plaster Thailand team to perform the above duties. The position will be based Knauf Plaster Thailand. (Saraburi)Job Responsibilities:Safety:Promote and maintain a safe work environment through training, safety huddles, audits, and proper equipment use.Ensure no accidents or injuries and maintain effective housekeeping programs.New Product Development & Technology:Identify opportunities for new manufacturing methods, product variations, and market gaps.Develop new products and technologies for industrial and construction plasters in line with business strategies.Coordinate with lab personnel and other functions to execute projects.Operational Excellence:Lead or participate in projects such as raw material evaluations, cost reduction initiatives, formulation optimization, and competitor benchmarking.Analyze data, prepare reports, and provide technical support to the sales team, including customer visits.Conduct technical training for employees and collaborate with manufacturing, marketing, and supply chain teams.Lead the Regional Development Centre for Plasters in the APAC region.Knowledge Resource:Maintain expertise in powder products, chemical additives, formulations, and test procedures.Stay updated on new technologies and industry trends.Innovation:Promote a culture of innovation within the R&D and management teams.Act as a resource for new ideas on manufacturing, product, and application technologies.IP Protection:Ensure compliance with IP protection protocols and lead patent applications for new innovations.Job Qualifications:Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Science (Chemical, Materials, Civil), or Chemistry.Proven leadership and management skills with strong communication abilities.Knowledge of product requirements, industry standards, market needs, and competitive landscape.Prior R&D experience in a commercial setting, with a track record of commercializing innovative products.Strong laboratory skills and hands-on experience with raw materials and suppliers.Ability to work in fast-paced environments, manage multiple tasks, and translate project requirements into actionable plans.Proficient in Thai and English.Experience:Minimum 5 years of experience in the gypsum building materials or ceramics industry, with exposure to gypsum, ceramic, industrial plaster, and compound products.Human Resources DepartmentKnauf Gypsum (Thailand) LimitedNo. 80 Moo 5, Nong Pla Kradi Road, Nong Pla Mo Sub-district, Nong Khae District, Saraburi Province 18140, Thailand
