- Accountable to deliver Automatic Train Control (ATC) and Vehicle Integration Engineering work. The scope of the work package includes the design, installation, and test of electrical interfaces between ATC system and the vehicle. Quality, Cost and Delivery commitments
- He/she is the direct technical interface with the customer for ATC Engineering
- Provides ATC functional and architecture specification, ATC detailed design and ATC configuration. Provides corrections during and until customer acceptance.
- Provides Signalling - Rolling Stock interface specification, until mutual agreement from both engineering entities
- Make sure technical design is consistent
- Contribute to the definition of the functional validation phase of the sub-system (I&V and FIVP)
- Ensure that all Domain / Métier activities follow ATC methods & tools
- Support PrEM to ensure full transparency of ATC Engineering WP QCD performance (including physical progress)
- Follow the monthly review cycle with PrEM, highlighting main variances against the Project Engineering QCD commitment, initiating corrective actions and immediately informing the PrEM and Projects Engineering Domain / Métier department head where major deviations are detected.
- Follow and participate in Risk and Savings Reviews for his / her scope. Provide inputs to PrEM to update the RAMP and SAMP of the Project.
- If the ATC scope changes (due to either internal or external changes), support PrEM in Project Engineering QCD commitment variations with the Project Controller
- Make communication with customer and ensure ATC documentation is approved
- Leading System design (Architecture, Interfaces & Installation)
- Technical management (configuration, change control and requirements).
- Solve technical issues concerning application project.
- Take responsibility for the overall performance of the system and the allocation of the project performance requirements and ensure that these requirements are met.
- Control the collection of technical data (Data Book) and keep it up to date.
- To participate in the Gate Reviews (give status on system activities).
- To support application projects in ATC Onboard current and future projects.
- Project Quality, Cost and Delivery commitment
- On-time-delivery for ATC deliverables according to project planning and DML (EDP - Engineering Delivery Performance)
- Defect detected on ATC (DQI - Delivery Quality Indicator)
- Cooperation and reactivity to support to Root Cause Analysis Identification of contract variations (through traceability & coverage of requirements)
- University degree (MEng) preferably) in engineering related to electric, electronic or automation processes.
- At least 3 years with internal experience as OnBoard Railways Engineer or similar in other markets.
- At least 1 year of experience as system engineer.
- At least 2 year of experience as Software developer
- Technical knowledge: Signalling, ERTMS, TCMS, MVB, ATP, ATO, SIFA , system design, Installation design, Installation Verification, Data Preparation.
- Knowledge on EN standard EN50155, 50128, 50129, UNISIG Subsets, specially Subset-026, 108, 027 & 076 is an advantage.
- Command of English: fluent in conversation and mastered in reading and writing.
- Windows environment (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Project)
