
Senior Engineer, Slider Process Technology Development - Bar mounting Tooling design and Development

- Lead the design, development, and validation of custom tooling for slider manufacturing processes, including bar mounting, slicing, lapping, and inspection.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define tooling requirements based on product design, material properties, and process constraints.
- Drive continuous improvement in tooling performance, focusing on durability, precision, and ease of integration with automated systems.
- Support new product introduction (NPI) by developing tooling solutions that meet evolving design and process needs.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for tooling-related issues in production.
- Manage tooling design documentation, CAD models, and revision control in accordance with engineering standards.
- Work closely with suppliers and internal machine shops to ensure timely fabrication and quality of tooling components.
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
- Strong background in precision tooling design, with hands-on experience in high-volume manufacturing environments.
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent) and familiarity with GD&T and mechanical tolerancing.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a focus on practical, manufacturable solutions.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- A proactive mindset with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of tooling materials, coatings, and wear mechanisms.
- Experience with DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and DFMEA methodologies.
- Familiarity with automation integration, including fixture design for robotic handling or machine interfaces.
- Understanding of slider manufacturing processes is a strong advantage.
