Pipeline Engineer

• Develop pipeline Basis of Design, Pipeline Material Selection.
• Provide technical assistance and advice to the asset regarding pipeline and riser engineering for new projects or modifications.
• Take charge of engineering solutions, studies, conceptual design, and detailed engineering tasks. Conduct pipeline design and various analyses including route study, material selection, stability analysis, and stress analysis.
• Offer insights into construction methods, develop installation plans, and create pre-commissioning strategies.
• Define the scope of geophysical surveys, oversee soil testing, and assess survey data for alignment. Review existing pipeline and riser calculations for integrity verification and provide recommendations.
• Participate in technical peer reviews and evaluate vendor qualifications for line pipe and components. Assist in bid engineering and compile technical bid packages.
• Justify any deviations from company specifications and estimate project costs.
• Support research, development, and technology projects related to facility engineering.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, project specifications, company standards, and industry best practices.
• Maintain adherence to SSHE (Safety, Security, Health, and Environment) policies to achieve targeted performance goals.

• Bachelors degree or higher in Pipeline, Mechanical, Civil, Metallurgical Engineering, or related fields.
• 5 - 8 years of experience in offshore pipeline engineering, construction, and operations, preferably in the oil and gas industry or a similar field.
• Over 3 years of experience in a senior position or lead discipline.
• Good command of both written and spoken English.
• Good interpersonal and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with pipeline analysis software such as MathCAD, Caesar II, OFFPIPE, DEEPLINE, AUTOCAD, ABAQUS, and AUTOPIPE is preferable.
• Proficiency in pipeline calculation using spreadsheets for Line Pipe Wall Thickness, Free Spanning, FATFREE, PSI, LCC, DCC, End Expansion, etc.
• Understanding of and experience with ASME B31.8, DNVGL RP F101, API 1111, API 1104, etc.
