TITLE: Philanthropy and Corporate Project CoordinatorContract Type: NationalTEAM/PROGRAMME: Program OperationsLOCATION: Based in Mae Sot with frequent travel to border areasCONTRACT LENGTH: 8 months with the possibility of extensionROLE PURPOSE:Save the Children Thailand is expanding its strategy to private donors and seeking a new team member for the role of Philanthropy and Corporate Project Coordinator. This position plays a pivotal role in driving the organization’s mission to create positive change for children and their communities in Thailand. The role will lead, manage, and drive project development efforts of their multi-faceted philanthropy foundation setup, which focuses on Livelihoods, Education, Child Protection and Climate change & Green jobs. This includes uplifting identified communities and partners, including children, youth, and parents with migrants, out-of-school and PWDs. The post holder will work closely with the Cooperate Engagement Expert and the Senior Field Coordinator Mae Sot to lead the implementation of corporate, individual, and Gift in Kinds funded projects.SCOPE OF ROLE:Reports to: Senior Field Coordinator Mae SotStaff reporting to this post: Senior Corporate Project Officer, ID4ED Officer and interns.Budget Responsibilities: Approximately 300,000 USDsRole Dimensions: Work closely with the Senior Field Coordinator and New Business Development (NBD) team to ensure field operation, as well as work across functions with the program team, finance, award, supply chain, HR, and admin departments.KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:Program and partner’s management:
  • Ensure that the corporate and philanthropy-funded projects are implemented in line with SCT/SCI established standards and guidelines.
  • Lead the project’s planning, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation in accordance with project management methodology and tools.
  • Enhance or contribute to project efficiency and effectiveness through implementation follow-up activities with various implementing partners, including monitoring inputs, local conditions and resources and education project status.
  • Manage budget under philanthropy, cooperate and local donations.
  • Provide operational and administrative support for procurement accruing to SCT procurement policy.
  • Lead in the management of implementing partners as partnership relationship manager for philanthropy, corporates, and local donations.
  • Provide technical support to the partner on the sub-award agreement and compliances. Ensure the project’s partners follow SCT/SCI logistics, management, and finance standards. Timely funding transfer to partners is to be ensured.
  • Work with the supply chain team to ensure gift-in-kind (GIK) management according to SCI’s procedure.
  • Lead in managing upcoming new grants according to SCT’s expansion strategy.

  • Establish clear and compelling objectives with teams and individuals and monitor progress and performance.

  • Identify clear development needs and development plans for the team through regular constructive reviews of the performance.
  • Manage and support the team under his/her responsibility and assess the performance of personnel under his/her direct supervision following SCT performance management processes.
  • Ensure adherence to security regulations by personnel under his/her supervision.
  • Identifying capacity building needs (management, language, etc.) and, in conjunction with HR, devise a plan for the personal development of each staff member.
  • Provide strategic direction to the project staff and partners in line with Save the Children’s Cooperate Engagement Strategies.
Reporting and MEAL:
  • Monitor and evaluate the project activities in line with the internal M&E plan and in coordination with others.
  • Liaise with relevant team members to collect information to ensure timely and quality reporting of project activities in line with donor and internal requirements.
  • To maximize continuous learning, ensure timely and quality documentation of project activities, including collection of case studies and documenting of lessons learned, best practices and challenges.
  • Work with communication and the MBD team to design and produce engaging and inspiring communication strategies and materials for donors to communicate the progress and impact of the program.
  • Coordinate project learning activities, data collection, data management, and data analysis according to guidance and agreements with the Technical Advisor.
  • Establish and nurture partnerships through multi-sector partnerships with a wide range of stakeholders, including social service organizations, government agencies, NGOs, educational institutions, businesses, community leaders, and CBO organizations.
Collaboration and Representation:
  • Work closely with NBD and the Senior Management team to develop an effective plan for engagement and donor stewardship activity.
  • Collaboration with other team members is needed to ensure synergies and consistency in our programming approaches, especially with project partners and the business development team (NBD).
  • Represent programming with local government, NGOs, communities and within SC as appropriate.
  • Contribute to a project business model that would be self-sustaining in the long term, including working with the NBD team to develop new proposals.

QUALIFICATIONS
  • University degree in one of the disciplines relevant to the following areas: administration, public relations, international relationships, communication, marketing, social sciences, or a field(s) relevant to development or humanitarian work.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLSEssential
  • Proven track record of at least 3-4 years in INGOs/NGOs managerial role, with a focus on philanthropy, corporate social responsibility (CSR), community development, or social services.
  • Passion for community engagement, localization and making a meaningful impact on the lives of marginalized individuals.
  • Strong network within non-profit sectors, local businesses, and corporate sectors.
  • Good understanding of grant writing, donor relations, and fundraising techniques,
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong partnerships.
  • Program management skills and advanced level of IT skills.
  • Fluency in the local language/s and English.
  • An outstanding service-oriented attitude and a can-do mindset.
Desirable
  • Able to pick up new topics quickly, grasp ideas on the go, and synthesis quickly.
  • Experience in business start-up, internship, and fundraising activity.
  • Background in emergency programmes is an asset.
