Conduct of pre - contract and post - contract work activities in line with the established Corporate policies and procedures, and as per Project Requirement
Provide support to the Lead Contracts Engineer in the preparation of contracting plans and strategies to meet the requirements of the project
Development of contractors list, perform prequalification as necessary, and development of bidders list per contract package
Carry out pre - contract and post - contract administration e.g. attend Contractor weekly progress meeting, taking notes of meeting, verify monthly progress payment, verify claims & variation orders from Contractor, verify new unit rates not in Contract, verify Contractor scope of work as written in Contract
Be able to verify Approved for Construction Drawing for final account summary
Ensure completeness of Projects' Construction Contracts records and co - ordinate statistical feedback and data gathering
Make sure that Construction Contracts are maintained and archived in accordance with Corporate and / or project file retention policy
Qualifications:
Degree in Civil, Mechanical, E&I Engineering or equivalent
Min 3 years relevant experience within engineering or construction industries working on Oil & Gas or other heavy industrial projects, or similar
Demonstrable basic commercial skills and knowledge of contracting methods, contract forms
An understanding of the basic principles of contract law
Knowledge of contracts administration and tendering processes
Experience from working on large international construction projects preferred
Quantity Surveying Qualification preferred
Commercial skills and knowledge of contracting methods, contract administration, contract forms, etc.
Able to determine full cause and effect' of reasons for delay and determine how this impacts contractor performance
Able to communicate clearly with clients and contractors complex technical and commercial issues
Positive attitude, compromise and negotiation skill in dealing with Contractor and Owner
Full awareness of confidentiality agreements of the assigned Project
