- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, Regulatory Affairs, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in regulatory affairs within the food and beverage or FMCG industry.
- Strong knowledge of local and international food regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent understanding of product labeling, claims, additives, and ingredient regulations.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and strong documentation abilities.
- Effective communication and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in regulatory information systems and documentation management tools.
- Ensure all products comply with relevant food safety, labeling, and regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, EFSA, Codex Alimentarius, local food authorities).
- Manage product registration, formula review, ingredient assessments, and documentation submissions.
- Review and approve product labels, artwork, claims, and packaging to meet regulatory requirements.
- Monitor regulatory updates, policy changes, and emerging trends in the food and beverage industry.
- Provide regulatory guidance during new product development (NPD) to ensure compliance from concept to launch.
- Develop strategies to mitigate regulatory risks and support market expansion.
- Maintain accurate regulatory documentation, product dossiers, safety data sheets (SDS), and certificates of analysis (COA).
- Prepare and submit required reports, renewals, licenses, and certifications.
- Work closely with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain, and Marketing teams to support compliant product formulation and claims.
- Liaise with government agencies, external laboratories, and certification bodies.
- Provide internal training on regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Participate in internal and external audits related to regulatory compliance.
- Ensure proper handling of regulatory inspections, corrective actions, and compliance improvements.
