While we support flexible, remote-friendly ways of working, for this role we're focusing on Thailand so we can best support our teams and keep collaboration flowing.This role is a 12-month engagement, working full-time hours per week.What you'd be doing in this roleAs Canva scales, change continues to be part of our DNA. But we like to think that's all part of the fun. So this will give you the flavour of the type of things you'll be working on when you start, but this will likely evolve.Canva's SEO is world-class, and we're looking for a passionate SEO Outreacher to join the International SEO team to help scale our next phase of growth in Thailand!You'll build high-quality backlinks for priority landing pages in Thailand while exploring brand mention opportunities. You'll report to both your Thailand SEO Country Lead and the Global Outreach Lead, executing local strategy while contributing to global coordination.You're not just executing a list handed to you. You're expected to be proactive, spotting opportunities, proposing optimizations, contributing to strategy discussions, and solving problems resourcefully. You'll operate with significant autonomy while staying aligned to your SEO Country Lead's priorities.Success means delivering measurable authority growth that improves Canva's rankings and search visibility, helping more local users discover Canva and contributing to the country's market penetration goal.At the moment, this role is focused on:Link Building ExecutionCampaign planning and execution:Collaborate with your Country SEO Lead and Global Outreach Lead to identify priority landing pages and set backlink targetsResearch and build prospect lists using Canva's proven frameworks: guest posting, resource page insertions, broken link building...Analyze competitor backlink profiles to uncover replicable opportunitiesPrioritize prospects based on relevance, authority, and likelihood of successOutreach and relationship building:Write personalized, culturally fluent outreach emails that resonate with Thailand publishers and editorsManage end-to-end outreach workflows: initial contact → follow-ups → negotiation → placement → relationship maintenanceBuild authentic, long-term relationships with website owners, journalists, and content creatorsMaintain detailed records of all outreach activity, responses, and outcomes in shared tracking systemsQuality assurance and reporting:Ensure all backlinks meet Canva's strict white-hat quality standards (relevant, editorial, on-topic placements)Monitor link placements for compliance, indexation, and longevityReport monthly on progress toward goals, flagging risks or blockers proactivelyContribute insights to monthly performance reviews with Country SEO Lead and Global Outreach LeadBrand MentionsPlatform Engagement:Identify key platforms where our brand can gain beneficial recognitionCreate outreach initiatives that align with each platform's culture and standardsAssess and record which mentions enhance visibilityContent Strategy:Explore how content is prioritized across various sourcesWork with relevant teams to find suitable content opportunitiesMonitor performance and share insights to refine our overall approachStrategic SEO Support & Cross-Functional IntegrationSupporting your Country SEO Lead:Support the Country SEO Lead with content optimization, technical SEO tasks, or strategic projects as neededContribute insights from outreach campaigns (what's working, competitor intel, publisher feedback) to inform country SEO strategyCountry team integration:Stay connected to Thailand's community, marketing, partnerships, and product teams-spotting backlink and brand mention opportunities from their initiatives (events, campaigns, launches, partnerships)Proactively propose how outreach can amplify other teams' work (e.g., turning community events into press coverage, partnerships into co-marketing with backlinks)AI-Powered EfficiencyEnhance productivity with AI:Utilize AI tools for tasks like research, drafting communications, and analyzing responsesDevelop workflows to automate routine activities, such as data processing and report generationExplore new AI solutions and share successful practices with the teamProcess improvement:Spot inefficiencies in workflows and suggest AI-driven improvementsRecord automation strategies and add them to the shared resourcesExperimentation & Global Team ContributionRun and document experiments:Design and execute with the global team via written reports, presentations, or team workshopsKnowledge sharing:Contribute to monthly global outreach team syncs with insights, learnings, and questionsUpdate the global outreach playbook with Thailand-specific tactics, templates, or best practicesWhat we're looking forThailand Market ExpertiseNative Thai speaker with business-level English (to collaborate globally and access English-language resources)Deep understanding of Thailand digital publishing landscape, content creator ecosystem, and outreach normsAbility to identify locally relevant opportunities that
