- Maintains and expands customer base by counseling field sales representatives; building and maintaining rapport with key customers; and identifying new customer opportunities.
- Meets regional sales financial objectives by forecasting requirements; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; and initiating corrective actions.
- Implements trade promotions by publishing, tracking, and evaluating trade spending.
- Pursuing opportunities to expand our business in new markets.
- Maintaining an up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments within our target markets.
- Recommends product lines by identifying new product opportunities, and/or product, packaging, and service changes; surveying consumer needs and trends; tracking competitors.
- Making regular sales calls to pursue and discuss opportunities, providing training and other technical support, and increasing overall mind share.
- Following up on leads (both self-generated and provided through marketing initiatives).
- Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; and maintaining personal networks.
- Developing and maintaining short, mid, and long-term sales plans.
- Communicating high-value sales activity to contribute to effective product and service planning.
- Providing top-quality customer service for all clients and prospects.
- Reviews; preparing and completing action plans; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; completing audits; identifying trends; determining regional sales system improvements; implementing change.
- Establishes sales objectives by creating a sales plan and territory-wise, and distributor-wise sales plan. Inputs and recommendations for strategic plan and policies.
- Prepare visit reports, call reports, monthly reports, and other administrative requirements.
- Minimum 10 years of work experience with a good 8 years of progressive sales experience and 3-5 years of leading or equivalent industry knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field. Additional qualifications in sales or business administration are advantageous.
- Results-driven mindset with a track record of achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth in a competitive market environment.
- An excellent understanding of rubber products and industry especially the Thailand market is a must.
- A firm understanding of the MRO business and CRM experience is preferred.
- Experience in driving sales for automotive aftermarket products will have an added advantage.
- Ability to provide concurrent oversight to multiple resources and projects.
- Demonstrated proficiency in managing analytically rigorous initiatives.
