Job DescriptionThe QA/QC Engineer is responsible for ensuring that all construction, fabrication, and installation activities comply with approved project specifications, applicable codes and standards, and the Project Quality Plan. The role involves inspection, documentation, coordination with clients and third parties, and ensuring quality and HSE compliance throughout the project lifecycle.Job Requirements
  • Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree/Post Graduate Diploma/Professional Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical) or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant working experience in multi discipline EPC projects.
  • A valid welding inspection certificate such as AWS Certified Welding Inspector or CSWIP 3.1. is preferable
  • Understanding engineering drawings and specification requirements.
  • Knowledgeable in QMS, Welding Inspection, Quality Assurance and Quality Control System.
  • Understand piping fabrication/installation inspection and testing requirements.
  • Familiar with basic conventional NDT methods.
  • Computer literate and familiar in using basic Microsoft office programs.
  • Excellent organizational and strong verbal and written skills
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety requirements
  • Carry out other duties as may be assigned from time to time by your Superior.
Job Responsibilities
  • Develop, maintain and control all electrical and instrumentation engineering templates.
  • Ensure all the work task is following the requirement as mentioned in the QMS system.
  • Lead and supervise on E&IC work on project phase.
  • Prepare design for electrical, control and instrumentation during basic and detail engineering stage.
  • Prepare technical reviews for all E&IC drawings, datasheets, documents, lists and calculations.
  • Working closely with other engineering teams to ensure support is provided, e.g. work with the
  • Proposal/Design team for all Electrical and Control systems cost estimates for Tenders.
  • Evaluate RFQ received from clients.
  • Prepare RFQ and evaluate returned quotations from vendors.
  • Prepare E&IC engineering designs and cost estimations from tendering stage to commissioning stage.
  • Carry out troubleshooting whenever needed.
  • Ensuring all tender/ bidding cost activities, budget and firm quote is comply with client specification.
  • Liaise with procurement, fabrication and project department to have a more competitive and precise design and costing.
  • Maintain effective communication with all internal and external relevant disciplines.
  • Attend meeting with client from time to time subject to the project location.
  • Carry out and ensure good filing system for electronic and hard copy documents and is easily retrievable.
  • Any tasks assigned by Superior from time to time.
  • Able to travel and stay short term on project site when needed.
  • Required to station at site during project execution within the scheduled duration.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain QA/QC procedures for electrical works.
  • Conduct inspections and tests on electrical installations, equipment, and materials.
  • Ensure compliance with international standards (IEC, IEEE, NEC, BS, etc.) and project specifications.
  • Prepare inspection test plans (ITPs), checklists, and quality records.
  • Maintain logs of non-conformance reports (NCRs) and corrective actions.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly QA/QC reports for management and clients.
  • Liaise with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues.
  • Supervise testing and commissioning activities for electrical systems.
  • Coordinate with third-party inspectors and certification bodies.
  • Perform and witness electrical tests (continuity, insulation resistance, high-voltage tests, relay testing, etc.).
  • Verify calibration of testing equipment.
  • Ensure proper documentation of commissioning results.
  • Ensure adherence to HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) policies during inspections.
  • Verify that electrical installations meet safety standards before energization.
