Purchasing Manager

• Communicating details to the Production Department from overseas manufacturers to acquire consignment materials and parts needed to ensure production and delivery meet deadlines.
• Sourcing new suppliers, both domestically and internationally to support production and sales requirements.
• Maintaining good relationships with existing suppliers.
• Being responsible for the purchasing of raw materials on a tender basis.
• Maintaining the potential overseas & local suppliers list and updating the quality and cost of procurement required to minimize manufacturing costs and meet the timeline and specification requirements.
• Controlling purchasing budgets, negotiating with suppliers, ensuring delivery schedules are met and preparing ongoing reports for company executives.
• Reviewing and implementing the purchasing process to meet the business requirements, ensuring all activities are performed in compliance with statutory requirements.
• Improving efficiency & eliminating waste and defects and reducing costs.
• Coordinating with the Supply Chain Team concerning organizing delivery and controlling inventory.
• Controlling and monitoring procurement procedures and keeping records of movements.
• Managing all existing contracts and maximising credit terms of both overseas and local suppliers.

• Bachelor's or master's degree or higher in any related field.
• At least 5 years experience in purchasing, sourcing, and supply chain capacity, ideally from monomers/polymers/thermoplastics or compounds.
• Strong knowledge of sourcing/negotiation and cost reduction procedures.
• Knowledge of ISO9000 standards relevant to the quality system.
• Possess excellent problem-solving skills with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Good command of spoken and written English and computer literacy. Speaking Chinese language will be an advantage.
• Able to travel, mostly in India and China.
