Maintain, install, configure and operate audio & video equipment in the production and transmission of television programs;
Ensure the smooth functioning of equipment used for live and recorded productions in the studios and outside broadcasts;
Conduct tests to ensure quality of audio & video signals;
Troubleshoot and repair problems with equipment;
Keep accurate records of equipment maintenance, repairs and configurations;
Adhere to safety procedures when handling electrical and mechanical equipment;
Assist other departments by providing technical advice and assistance;
Monitor technical changes in audio & video technology and recommend upgrades as appropriate;
Train staff members in proper use of equipment.
Job Qualifications:
Diploma or Degree in Electronics Engineering or equivalent;
Good knowledge of audio & video equipment and systems;
Experience in television production or related industry;
Knowledge of safety practices and first aid measures;
Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and adapt to changing circumstances;
Effective communication skills (both written and verbal);
Highly motivated team player with strong organizational skills.
