They are experts in mold tooling, die tooling, machining, and assembly techniques, possessing extensive knowledge of the associated manufacturing processes which may include the optimization and standardization of stamping / molding / assembly or other processes within the manufacturing environment. Manufacturing Engineering Teams enable the TE business unit plants to reach TE Operating Advantage (TEOA) requirements, roll out Centers of Excellence (COE), Best Demonstrated Practices (BDP's) and advise plants on tool and machine duplications / corrections / improvements. They design and develop manufacturing process and automation platforms and apply them for the realization of new product developments as well as optimization of existing products already in production. The Teams also support Product Development in the selection and optimization of tools for piece part production and the selection of the most suitable manufacturing concepts relative to planned manufacturing quantities, quality requirements and manufacturing location. They act as interface between engineering and production to ensure manufacturability of new designs and smooth production ramp up as well as support the research & development teams to produce sample manufacturing equipment, product samples and prototypes.What your background should look like:Responsibilities
Manage molding technician team to follow daily operation in molding to meet the production plan
Initiate continuous improvement of QCO, Trouble shooting, Reduce DT, KAIZEN and SAFETY
Build up teamwork in molding and work as the partnership with Facility & Mold Maintenance team
Build up team culture and mindset of SAFETY & QUALITY awareness
Proactive & Escalation timely to avoid any impact to daily performance SCCOP , COPQ and TRIR
Manage trial NPD & VAVE following the production planning & Provide resource to support as required
Standardize & Improve all machine to meet 5S standard & EHS requirement
Investigate identify root causes and establish Corrective, Preventive Plan with effectiveness
Train and guide Mold Technicians in Mold maintenance and setup.
Perform any other duties which may be needed by the company related to engineering and production matters.
Implement and manage all maintenance functions, including but not limited to preventive, corrective and emergency maintenance on all injection molding equipment
Initiate and implement programs such as continuous improvements, scrap reduction, cost reduction of raw material, cycle time reduction.
Proven record of supervisory position at least 3 years in Injection Molding Supervisor / Management
3-5 years relevant working experience in an injection Molding / Manufacturing environment / Automotive Part or Electronic part * Continuous Improvement experience within a manufacturing environment, preferably in an ISO 9001 certified company
Familiar with Pro-E (Creo), SolidWorks or AUTOCAD on design process
Good knowledge in design & development of Injection molding
Good knowledge in tool making, tool-steel application / selection and heat treatment process
Familiar with Molding automation process or robot automation
Assists in evaluating work cell capacity and manpower planning
Excellent problem-solving technique
Good Project Management skill
Effective in report writing
Able to prepare and present Technical knowledge in group setting
Good understanding on how a process capability study is conducted and able to interpret results
Familiar with Engineering practices, terminology and tolerances associated with fabrication, machining, grinding, wire-cut, EDM, etc
