- Design and architect collaborative solutions that align with business objectives, taking into consideration scalability, security, and performance requirements.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements, understand their collaboration needs, and propose appropriate technical solutions.
- Assess and recommend collaboration platforms and tools that best fit the organisation's requirements and objectives.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including solution architecture diagrams, design specifications, and implementation plans.
- Analyse, develop and recommend long-term strategic plans to ensure collaboration tools meets current and future requirements.
- Viewed as a trusted technical advisor to the client and provide technical guidance to development teams during the implementation of collaborative solutions.
- Provide pre-sales technical support and expertise in analysing client requirements, in conjunction with the client’s current collaboration capabilities.
- Ensure technical solutions will accomplish the client's objectives
- Work with internal stakeholders to produce a technical specification for the custom development and systems integration requirements for the solution
- Produce the technical design document to match the solution design specifications.
- Working with the relevant internal stakeholders, participate in scope of work determination, product pricing and RFP/RFI responses.
- Assist with the determination of outsourcing, product pricing and collaborates with others to develop an implementation solution.
- Integrate collaboration platforms with existing enterprise systems, ensuring seamless data exchange and interoperability.
- Supports members of the Sales team and to ensure that they are equipped to close deals and maintain visibility of forecasting and sales pipeline in order to influence potential deals.
- Manage client proof of concept (POC) initiatives, which will require the involvement of the appropriate resources, and setup and delivery of the POC.
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations, industry standards, and organisational security policies in the design and implementation of collaboration solutions.
- On all assigned engagements, owns the proposed solution and transitions the build / implementation to the delivery team.
- Specifically relating to opportunity pursuit the Collaboration Technical Architect will:
- o Evaluate each opportunity for alignment with NTT capabilities and business policy
- o Prepare the executive summary that outlines all of the information gathered from the client in regards to their needs, as understood
- o Document the proposed technology solution
- o Document the statement of work along with all labour requirements
- o Work with the relevant internal stakeholders to prepare the pricing format that will be supplied to the customer.
- o Perform the actual solution design and prepare a parts list outlining equipment to be provided.
- o Develop and manage a proof-of-concept as such may be required
- o Engage all technical resources required for an accurate solution design
- o Prepare a network diagram outlining the proposed solution
- o Document all deliverables and what constitutes a successful completion.
- o Review the final parts list as supplied and submit all information to the applicable bid team for final assembly
- o Verify the proposal’s accuracy and sign off on the final documents to be presented to the client
- o Assist during the final presentation to the client as appropriate
- Demonstrate good client engagement skills
- Understanding of the vendor’s products business and technology positioning
- General knowledge and expertise in collaboration platforms such as Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Cisco Webex, Google Workspace, or similar tools
- Technical consulting aptitude

- Ability to collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, contributing to their success
- Broad product knowledge integrated with technology understanding
- Understanding network protocols, topologies and security
- Good understanding of system and software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Familiarity with security best practices, data privacy regulations, and compliance requirements
- Understanding of how collaboration platforms integrate with other enterprise systems (such as Active Directory, ERP systems, CRM systems, etc.) is important.
- Knowledge of APIs, web services, and data exchange protocols will enable seamless integration between collaboration tools and existing infrastructure
- Understanding user access controls, encryption, data loss prevention, and other security measures is crucial
- Basic understanding of key vendor subscription models such as Cisco EA 3.0
- Bachelor’s degree in relevant field of study (Computer Science, Information Technology, etc)
- Vendor product, sales and technology certifications
- Professional technical experience within a large scale (preferably multi-national) technology services environment
- Moderate level experience as a Collaboration Technical Architect or a similar role, designing enterprise-level network solutions.
- Moderate level experience in a professional technical role
- Moderate level experience with integration and interoperability between collaboration platforms and other enterprise systems.
- Moderate level experience in project management methodologies advantageous
