Welding Engineer

Oversee and manage daily welding operations to meet production targets and quality standards.
Review and interpret welding drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
Supervise welding staff, assign work schedules, and ensure proper execution of tasks.
Perform in-process inspections and coordinate with QC on welding defect analysis and corrective actions.
Monitor the condition of welding machines, jigs, and fixtures; schedule regular preventive maintenance.
Coordinate with maintenance team for timely repairs and minimize machine downtime.
Maintain records of machine service history and ensure tools are in proper working condition.
Identify opportunities for machine/equipment improvements to enhance welding efficiency and quality.
Maintain up-to-date welding procedures, work instructions, and equipment calibration records.
Prepare production and defect tracking reports, downtime logs, and maintenance checklists.
Ensure all welding documents comply with internal standards, ISO/IATF requirements, and customer specifications.
Support audits and provide accurate documentation as required by QA or external parties.

Experience requirements

Vocational Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering or related field
At least 3-5 years of experience in welding production, with minimum 2 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of MIG, TIG, and Spot Welding in a mass production environment.
Experience with welding machine maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
Familiar with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, or other quality management systems.
Ability to read technical drawings, welding symbols, and use measurement tools.
Proficient in documentation, report writing, and Microsoft Office.
Good communication, team leadership, and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of Chinese language is a plus (for communication with HQ)
