Field Application Engineer (Optical Product)

• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for customers in R&D, NPI, and production environments

• Conduct in-depth discovery sessions to uncover real customer challenges and translate them into practical testing solutions

• Manage customer expectations clearly and professionally, ensuring the right solution is proposed and delivered

• Spend the majority of your time on-site with end customers across Bangkok and Thailand

• Deliver compelling product demonstrations, proof-of-concept trials, and on-site evaluations for a broad range of fiber optic test equipment including OSA, Fiber Inspection Tools, Power Meters, Variable Optical Attenuators, Laser Sources, IL/RL/PDL Testers, Optical Amplifiers, Optical Switches, Component Analyzers, Tunable Filters, Polarization Controllers, and Broadband Sources

• Develop and localize test procedures and technical documentation tailored to specific customer environments and standards

• Support customers through product startup, commissioning, and early-stage testing phases

• Partner closely with direct and indirect sales teams to identify, qualify, and advance technical opportunities

• Participate in regional roadshows, technical seminars, and industry events to promote products and solutions

• Provide strategic market insights and customer feedback to support product division planning and future roadmap decisions

• Act as a technical mentor for sales teams and channel partners, building internal capability through structured knowledge transfer

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Technical Assistance Center (TAC) and product division teams to resolve pre and post-sales issues efficiently

• Share field experience, lessons learned, and best practices across the organization

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Electronics, Communications, Instrumentation Engineering, or a related field

• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Field Application Engineer, Solution Engineer, or Pre-Sales technical role

• Solid understanding of optical fiber communication fundamentals including DWDM, fiber modes, dispersion, nonlinear parameters, polarization, modulations, IL/RL/PDL, optical switches, laser/LED sources, EDFA/SOA/RAMAN amplifiers, WSS/ROADM, Flex-Grid, and transponders

• Hands-on experience with advanced fiber optic test equipment and high-speed pluggable optics (400G/800G QSFPDD, ZR/ZR+ coherent optics)

• Familiarity with customer test procedures and real-world production test ecosystems

• Automation knowledge including SCPI command programming is a plus

• Background in the test and measurement industry is highly advantageous
