Develop and implement legal strategies aligned with the company's goals and objectives. Provide proactive legal advice to support decision-making.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards across the Southeast Asia region. Monitor changes in legislation and assess their impact on the organisation.
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of contracts and agreements. Provide guidance on legal implications and risks associated with contractual matters.Manage and oversee legal disputes, litigation, and alternative dispute resolution processes. Collaborate with external legal counsel as necessary. * Ensure adherence to corporate governance principles. Facilitate and support Board meetings, ensuring legal compliance in all corporate actions.
Interface with regulatory bodies, ensuring the company's activities align with regulatory requirements.
Conduct risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate legal risks. Develop and maintain risk management frameworks.
The Successful ApplicantWe are looking for a strong leader who brings of breadth of experience and knowledge of the industry and our business. As a candidate, you should have:
10+ years of post-qualification legal experience with commercial legal experience in private practice and in-house with multinationals, qualified to practice law in Thailand.
Strong academic credentials, with excellent analytical skills and good commercial sense.
Be able to work independently and interface with executive level stakeholders with little or no supervision, but also be a good team player.
A practical and proactive problem-solver, must have a strong business acumen and be confident, mature and calm under stress.
Demonstrated ability to manage and drive complex commercial and technology transactions, including internationally driven deals.
Excellent command of written and spoken English and Thai required.
