Assist in overseeing day-to-day production operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and production planning.
Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.
Collaborate with the team to develop and implement strategies for improving productivity and reducing production costs.
Supervise and support technical knowledge for production staff to ensure they perform effectively.
Identify and troubleshoot any issues or bottlenecks in the production process and implement solutions to address them.
Maintain accurate production records and reports to track performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
Ensure compliance with all relevant safety and regulatory requirements.
Assist in the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance production processes and increase overall efficiency.
Collaborate with other departments, such as quality assurance and engineering, to resolve production-related issues and drive process improvements.
The Successful Applicant
Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with specific experience in plastic packaging production.
Strong technical knowledge of injection moulding and blow moulding processes, equipment, and materials.
Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively supervise and motivate production teams.
Ability to analyse data and performance metrics to identify opportunities for optimisation.
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
