Stamping Engineer

• Collaborating with Product Engineering, Program Management, and other manufacturing engineers to develop and implement efficient stamping processes for evaporator parts.
• Providing expert technical support to Production and Maintenance teams, troubleshooting issues and optimizing production efficiency.
• Developing and implementing preventive maintenance plans for stamping machines and tooling to extend their lifespan and minimize downtime.
• Sourcing and qualifying local suppliers for spare parts and new tooling, ensuring cost-effectiveness and timely delivery.
• Proactively identifying and resolving potential problems during design validation phases to achieve optimal Design-For-Manufacturing outcomes (safety, quality, and cost).
• Creating and maintaining work instructions, checklists, and other technical documentation to support production operations.
• Working collaboratively with Production, Maintenance, and Quality teams to ensure seamless communication and efficient production flow.
• Supporting the ME team in driving continuous improvement projects to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize production processes.

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in the metal stamping industry, with a proven track record of success.
• Strong experience in programming and operating stamping machines (NCT&BP machines preferred).
• In-depth knowledge of part design, materials, and stamping production processes.
• Understanding of automotive quality systems, including PPAP, APQP, Control Plan, PFMEA, Engineering Change, BOM management, and ISO/IATF 16949 standards.
• Proficiency in using common engineering software (AutoCAD) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
