You will be pivotal in analyzing sales estimates against customer requirements and guiding on competitive estimating factors. Your expertise will ensure the delivery of precise estimates, including scope, material, and labor efforts, by skilled discipline. You will also be responsible for developing cost-effective estimates and highlighting specific proposal inclusions within required timelines.Key Responsibilities:
Develop Estimates: Generate accurate and timely estimates that consider scope, materials, and labor effort.
Identify Proposal Inclusions: Clearly outline what is included in proposals to ensure clarity and comprehensiveness.
Create Alternate Solutions: Develop innovative and cost-effective alternative solutions to meet or exceed customer expectations.
Build Relationships: Foster strong relationships with internal customers to understand and meet their needs effectively.
Key Experience & Capabilities:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or a related field.
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in estimating or a closely related field, preferably within the manufacturing or industrial sector.
Demonstrated ability to develop detailed cost estimates and understand technical specifications and drawings.
Strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficiency in using estimating software as well as Microsoft Office Suite.
Six Sigma Green Belt certification is a strong plus but not mandatory.
