Production Manager

• Be an advocate for safety and drive a “Zero Injury” mindset and culture.

• Plan and organize production schedule; including specialty campaigns for products.

• Direct production engineers, lead operating technicians, and production technicians to improve quality and quantity of pounds produced.

• Drive accountability of direct reports.

• Develop operating budget and operating plan to meet budget target (s).

• Participate in customer visits, audits; share information as required.

• Oversee production processes and develop plan to improve.

• Coordinate improvement plans with site engineering and maintenance teams.

• Understanding of environmental regulations and permit requirements.

• Coordinate with maintenance team for routine and emergency maintenance.

• Bachelor's degree major in Chemical Engineering or other related field.

• 10 years of Operations experience in a manufacturing industry, preferably related to polymers.

• Experience in administering and/or managing an effective and proactive safety program.

• Ability to engage a high performing team.

• Thorough understanding of ensuring the safety of manufacturing areas and work practices in accordance with the site Environmental, Health & Safety programs.

• Good interpersonal skills and able to communicate with all levels of management, hourly and salaried employees.

• Ability to work cross functionally and influence others that don't have a direct reporting relationship.

• Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.

• Strong leadership and management skills.

• Promotes cooperation within the team and between teams.

• Demonstrates speed and flexibility as appropriate in responding and adapting to changes.

• Demonstrated ability to adapt to a challenging and developing environment; willingness to take on new responsibilities as our business evolves.

• Working knowledge of SAP preferred.
