- Align to BU strategy and ensure execution of strategic initiatives for delivery of the business objectives
- Research and identify potential business opportunity by analyzing market trends, competitor activities
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to penetrate target markets and increase market share
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the project channel, including new construction projects, renovations, and expansions
- Develop and nurture relationships with decision-makers to secure project contracts and partnerships
- Build and maintain strong relationships with architects, developers and other key stakeholders involved in constructions projects
- Able to present AkzoNobel products and services at industry events, trade shows and networking function to promote products and build brand awareness.
- Provide market analysis and trends, including competitive and environmental forces influencing the market
- Provide feedback to Sales Managers/ Marketing team base on the information from the customers and project sales team to help the internal team and external stakeholders identify solutions options
- Coordinate with Project sales, Technical services, Specification team for ensuring best in class service to the Key account customers
- Support Large & Mega projects for the defined in key accounts in coordination with Sales Managers/ Marketing team/ Key account Representative teams
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field
- Minimum 5-8 years of experience in Specification, Project sales, Business development or sales within the construction industry - cement, tiles, fittings, paints, building material.
- Strong understanding of construction project lifecycles, including bidding process, specifications, and project management
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills
- Proven ability to build and maintain relationships with key decision makers
- Must be a self-starter, highly organized with strong account management skills; ability to multi-task effectively with cross functional teams and meet deadlines
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
- Clear communication skills (written and verbal communication skills) and strong interpersonal and influencing skills
- Prior work experience in B2B environment will be an advantage
- Should be able to travel across the country
