- Sales Target Setting: Set ambitious but achievable sales targets for the team, taking into account market trends, competition, and company capabilities.
- Performance Monitoring: Regularly monitor sales performance against targets, analyse key performance indicators (KPIs), and take corrective action as needed.
- Team Leadership: Lead, manage, and motivate the sales team to achieve targets and deliver outstanding results.
- Sales Process Optimisation: Continuously review and improve sales processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement sales strategies aligned with overall business goals and objectives.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
- Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to identify new opportunities and stay ahead of the competition.
- Training and Development: Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to the sales team to enhance their skills and capabilities.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, product development, and customer service to ensure alignment and coordination in achieving business objectives.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Prepare sales budgets and forecasts, manage sales expenses, and ensure that resources are allocated effectively to maximise ROI.
- Reporting and Communication: Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on sales performance, market trends, and future sales projections.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Electrical, or a related field is required. A Master's degree would be considered a strong asset.
- Over 15 years of sales and related management experience with a proven track record of successful performance.
- A minimum of 5 years of team management experience in the relevant industry sector is necessary.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation abilities are essential for effectively interacting with clients, stakeholders, and the sales team.
- An analytical mindset with the ability to use data-driven insights to make informed business decisions
