Position overviewThe Assistant Bar Manager assumes a central role within the Food and Beverage leadership team of the Capella Bangkok hotel, entrusted with the responsibility of orchestrating a sophisticated and unparalleled bar experience. This dynamic position encompasses the meticulous development of a world-class beverage program, the adept management of a skilled bar team, and the creation of an ambiance that harmonizes seamlessly with the hotel's opulent identity.The Role
  • Spearhead the development and curation of a distinguished beverage program that reflects the luxury brand's ethos, showcasing innovative cocktails, premium spirits, and an extensive selection of exceptional wines and champagnes.
  • Maintain an acute awareness of industry trends, emerging products, and cultural influences to continually elevate and refine the bar offerings.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the bar with an unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional service, uncompromising quality, and operational efficiency.
  • Implement and maintain meticulous control over bar inventory levels, encompassing spirits, wines, mixers, and state-of-the-art bar equipment.
  • Form, train, and lead a team of highly skilled and service-oriented bar professionals.
  • Conduct regular training sessions and workshops to elevate the team's product knowledge, service standards, and mixology prowess, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
  • Cultivate an inviting and sophisticated atmosphere within the bar area, ensuring an unforgettable and pleasurable experience for all guests.

  • Develop and administer the bar budget, demonstrating astute financial management for cost control and sustained profitability.
  • Devise and implement revenue-driving strategies, including promotions, special events, and effective upselling techniques.
  • Forge a seamless and collaborative relationship with the kitchen team to ensure a harmonious coordination between the bar and restaurant offerings.
  • Contribute to menu pairings and collaborate on special events to enhance the overall dining experience.
  • Ensure rigorous compliance with all pertinent licensing regulations and health and safety standards, displaying an acute awareness of local laws and regulations that impact bar operations.
  • Uphold the highest standards of ethical and legal conduct in all aspects of bar management.
  • Assume responsibility for the cleanliness, maintenance, and aesthetic presentation of the bar area, encompassing bar equipment, glassware, and overall ambiance.
  • Implement and enforce stringent hygiene and sanitation practices to uphold the luxury hotel's exacting standards.
