Senior Buyer (Food)

• Identifying new sourcing opportunities across markets to maximize value, lower cost, diversify supply, mitigate risks, and align with the company's objectives.
• Managing all contract activities, including pre-qualification, supplier agreement negotiations, contract preparation, tender management and monitoring inventory and balance contracts.
• Collaborating closely with internal stakeholders for new/alternative RM approval and ensuring compliance with the approval process.
• Developing the contingency plan by approving alternative suppliers and materials.
• Developing strong relationships with business stakeholders and strategic supply partners to improve business outcomes.
• Purchasing representative/lead on several cross-functional projects.
• Monitoring commodities regularly and issuing market outlook updates for internal & external customers.
• Identifying potential risks within the supply chain and developing strategies to mitigate disruptions, including geopolitical and regulatory challenges.
• Analyzing costs, pricing trends, and market dynamics to identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining product quality and service levels.
• Negotiating and maintaining pricing for raw materials and packaging in the system as well as updating Forecast cost expectations quarterly.
• Developing budget material cost forecast and managing variance.
• Looking for opportunities to grow certified sustainable volumes and work in collaboration to leverage internal resources.
• Improving suppliers' sustainability performance to meet company objectives.
• Developing a strong category strategy.
• Working with QA to drive quality improvements with suppliers.
• Coordinating with contract manufacturers for pricing, approval, and evaluation.
• Supporting team and troubleshooting issues i.e. shortage, quality, urgent order etc. to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Preparing information for Quota applications.
• Generating regular reports on purchasing metrics, supplier performance, cost savings, and other relevant KPIs to support management reporting.
• Looking for possibilities to leverage IT for process improvement.
• Actively supporting Global Purchasing initiatives and participating in Global purchasing calls monthly.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

• Experience 7-10 years in Procurement, Purchasing, and Buyer roles in food, flavour, chemicals or FMCG manufacturing business.
• Good English communication is a must.
• A working background from an MNC is preferable.
• Ability to manage project management.
• Independent, self-motivated, active, and able to work in fast fast-paced environment.
