- Manage the Foundation's petty cash, including advances and reimbursements to staff
- Ensure compliance with formal cash disbursal requirements per financial policies
- Handle incoming cash donations, aligning practices with Thai Law and ethical standards.
- Prepare tax and social security documents, including staff personal income tax and organization tax
- Perform monthly cash counts, payment requests and assist with bank transactions.
- Prepares complete set of documentation for check payments--e.g., purchase order, invoice/delivery order, payee name, and terms of payment, securing signature of the authorized signatories, verifying that the amounts on receipts expensed match the amounts in current account records and in current account statements received from banks
- Provides and clear staff cash advances for operation and activity costs as necessary in accordance with APTN policies and procedures and donor requirement
- Accurately record expenses in the petty cash register and accounting software.
- Prepare complete documentation for check payments and verify transaction accuracy
- Maintain accounting records (hard and soft copies) and update financial filing and documentation
- Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliation
- Visit banks for document collection and preparation and compile documents for submission, including preparing minutes for documentation
- Verify monthly assets inventory and prepaid expenditure
- Distribute pay and maintain payroll records with confidentiality
- Submit payroll summaries for review and approval
- Present auditors' reports to relevant stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with legal requirements, including government report submissions
- Display cultural, gender, religion, race, nationality and age sensitivity and adaptability
- Integrity, professionalism and respect for diversity
- Excellent organizational and planning skills;
- Interface program financial and grants to programme department;
- Demonstrated ability to plan and organize work and time independently;
- Very strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to build trust;
- Ability to empower others and to manage their performance;
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in teams, delivering through and with others;
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, diverse and cultural environment
- BA, MBA or Master/ Degree in Accounting/ Finance/ Business Administration or any other professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA
- Minimum eight (3) years of proven experience in accounting, handling project financial management, budgeting, grants management, general office administration and procurement.
- Well versed in maintenance of financial and accounting systems
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel, google drive and Quickbooks.
- Previous experience in working with Humanitarian NGOs, international organizations, or private sector
- Demonstrated capacity to supervise a complex financial management or general ledger system.
- Have experience working in multi-donor / multi-project/ multi-country environment
- Have experience in producing financial statements for the Governing Board review.
- Fluency in written and spoken English and Thai
- Well versed with Thai law
