Job Description:The ACE Team is seeking a Senior Analyst to join our Bangkok hub. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on analytics, solving ambiguous business problems, and applying modern analytical techniques—such as predictive modeling, applied statistics, and pragmatic GenAI/agentic methods—to deliver high-value insights for retailers and CPG clients.You will work as part of a small, highly capable analytics team supporting both local clients and global workstreams. Under guidance from senior team members and subject matter experts, you will lead analytical work, shape dynamic analytical approaches, and ensure outputs are timely, accurate, insightful, and actionable.Although the Bangkok team is currently small and does not include junior analysts, the Senior Analyst role carries the expectation of future leadership potential. As the team expands or cross-market collaboration opportunities arise, you may contribute to capability development or guide less experienced colleagues—as opportunities naturally emerge, not as an immediate or primary responsibility.This position reports to the Senior Analytics Manager in Thailand and operates in a hybrid work model.Key ResponsibilitiesHands-On Analytics & Methods· Conduct high-quality analysis using SQL (Snowflake), Python, Power BI, and SymphonyAI data models.· Design and execute analytical approaches for dynamic, evolving business requirements (ad hoc and repeatable).· Build and apply predictive/statistical models (e.g., regression, classification, uplift, segmentation, propensity, time series) to real business scenarios.Insight Generation & Storytelling· Distill insights from complex retailer/CPG datasets (transaction, loyalty, pricing, promo, assortment) into clear, concise narratives.· Create decision-ready deliverables (Power BI dashboards, executive presentations) and present confidently to local clients and global stakeholders.· Translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations—not just data.Workstream Leadership & Delivery· Plan and lead multiple analytical workstreams with clear scope, timelines, and quality gates (under SME guidance).· Coordinate closely with engineering and architects, upon request, to understand data models/pipelines (e.g., Azure Blob, Snowflake) and anticipate impacts from requirement changes—without modifying ETL logic directly.· Manage your workload effectively, including version control, documentation, environment hygiene, and efficient use of systems.Client & Stakeholder Engagement· Build trusted relationships with client stakeholders; maintain a regular cadence to keep delivery on track.· Translate ambiguous requests into structured, testable analytical plans with clear business outcomes.· Communicate complex concepts simply and credibly across business and technical audiences.Innovation & Continuous Improvement· Explore and pilot modern techniques and tooling (e.g., GenAI/agentic patterns where appropriate) to improve speed, quality, and scalability.· Contribute to reusable assets, templates, and analytic playbooks that elevate the team’s delivery consistency.· Share knowledge and collaborate with global peers to advance SymphonyAI’s analytical solutions.Key ExperienceTechnical Skills· 5+ years in analytics/BI/data science/consulting, delivering hands-on analytics.· Advanced SQL (Snowflake preferred): complex joins, window functions, performance-aware coding.· Strong Python for EDA, automation, and statistical/predictive modeling (e.g., pandas, NumPy, scikit‑learn/statsmodels).· Power BI proficiency (data modeling, DAX fundamentals, visualization, publishing).· Proven ability to manipulate large datasets; solid understanding of data modeling and database principles.· Demonstrable experience converting analysis into actionable insights and measurable business impact.· Strong MS Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint) for client-ready deliverables.· Familiarity with Azure data environments (e.g., Azure Blob Storage) is a plus.Business & Consulting Skills· Strong structured problem-solving and analytical thinking.· Experience presenting analytical findings to senior stakeholders (local and global).· Clear, concise written and verbal communication; ability to simplify complex topics.· Ability to plan and manage multiple workstreams with appropriate risk/issue management.· Leadership potential with a growth mindset—ready to step into guiding roles as the team scales.· Retail/CPG domain knowledge (e.g., loyalty, promotions, pricing, assortment) is preferred.Future Skills· Openness to adopting modern techniques (including GenAI/agentic patterns) where they add real value to analysis and delivery.· Willingness to experiment responsibly—e.g., using assistive tools to improve coding efficiency, documentation, QA, or insight drafting—with appropriate judgment and controls.· Curiosity to explore new methods and integrate them into workstreams when appropriate; deep prior AI experience is not mandatory.
