- Proactively identify, qualify and convert new business opportunities within key geographic markets.
- Build and maintain a strong, well-qualified sales pipeline that balances customer expectations with healthy GP and revenue.
- Prepare and deliver compelling quotes, proposals and tender responses for new and existing customers.
- Develop trusted, consultative relationships to uncover market intelligence, leads and upsell opportunities.
- Manage multiple vendors to design and deliver cost-effective, end-to-end logistics solutions.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to create tailored solutions and strengthen customer relationships.
- Track and improve customer satisfaction, retention and account growth.
- Own your financial performance, including reporting, target achievement and KPI delivery.
- 5+ years’ experience in a logistics BDM or Sales role, ideally within freight forwarding.
- Strong operational understanding of containerised cargo movements across sea, air and land transport.
- Demonstrated success in prospecting, winning and retaining customers in a competitive market.
- Self-motivated, performance-driven mindset with a clear focus on results and accountability.
- Solid knowledge of your geographic market, including pricing, margin and logistics/forwarding solutions.
- Excellent presentation, communication and negotiation skills, with credibility at all levels (internal and external).
- Strong analytical and financial skills, with the ability to build and interpret commercial proposals.
- Confident user of logistics-related IT systems (EDI or similar) and advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to quickly understand a client’s business drivers and translate them into tailored logistics solutions.
