Senior Procurement Engineer (Chemical)

• Lead end-to-end procurement activities for projects and operations within an explosives manufacturing environment
• Manage sourcing and purchasing of industrial equipment, mechanical systems, instrumentation, safety-critical components, and specialized materials
• Conduct supplier qualification, RFQs, bid evaluations, commercial negotiations, and issuance of purchase orders
• Coordinate with engineering, operations, compliance, and project teams to ensure all procurement activities align with regulatory and safety requirements
• Ensure cost control, schedule adherence, and technical accuracy throughout the procurement process
• Support strategic sourcing initiatives and contribute to supplier performance improvement.

• Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering
• Minimum 5 years of procurement experience in industrial, chemical, explosives, petrochemical, or manufacturing environments
• Experience managing procurement for safety-critical or heavily regulated industries
• Proven ability in supplier sourcing, bid evaluation, negotiation, and contract management
• Familiarity with regulatory compliance, quality standards, and documentation requirements for high-risk industrial operations
• Strong commercial acumen with the ability to balance cost, quality, safety, and schedule
• Excellent communication, coordination, and stakeholder-management skills
• Proficiency in procurement systems, ERP platforms, and Microsoft Office
• Good command of English (written and spoken) is an advantage
