St Andrews International School Bangkok is one of 88 schools in the Nord Anglia Education (NAE) family. Our state-of-the-art High School campus (next to Ekkamai BTS) opened in August 2017 giving our students the benefit of world-class teaching and facilities.As part of the NAE family of schools, we are delighted to be able to offer some unique collaborations with world-class establishments, including the Juilliard School of Performing Arts, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and UNICEF.Mainstream Primary School Learning Support AssistantDuties & Responsibilities:Learning Support Assistants (LSAs) are full-time members of the Primary School Learning Support Team. Their role is to work closely with class teachers, learning support specialists, and therapists to ensure that each child's learning needs are met, enabling them to access the mainstream curriculum and participate fully in classroom life.LSAs support the development and delivery of individualized strategies in line with each child's learning plan, and help create an inclusive, nurturing learning environment that promotes independence, confidence, and success.This is a hands-on and rewarding role that includes:Building strong, caring relationships with childrenSupporting class teachers in delivering lessons that meet individual student needsAssisting with adapting materials and differentiating tasksPromoting engagement and positive behaviour in the classroom and playgroundSupporting students' learning during class, in small groups, and 1:1 settingsCollaborating with specialist staff to monitor progress and refine strategiesHelping facilitate communication between home and school when neededAccompanying students during school trips, special events, and activities across the school dayContributing to whole-school events and duties as directed by the Head of Phase or School LeadershipQualifications & Profile:Our ideal candidate will:Be punctual, reliable, and fully engaged throughout the school dayUse a range of strategies to support children with a variety of learning needsCommunicate clearly with both students and staffAdapt tasks, instructions, and classroom resources to support learningEncourage students to develop independence and confidenceWork positively as part of a collaborative teamMaintain professional communication with families and staffBe sensitive to children's personal and social needsBe proactive, nurturing, and ready to grow through ongoing professional developmentThis is an energetic and meaningful role that requires patience, empathy, and a strong commitment to inclusion.
