In consulting and engineering services for thermal and renewable energy power plants, we are one of the market leaders both in the SE Asia region and globally.In line with our increasing business, we are looking for a Green Hydrogen and Ammonia Consultant/Senior Consultant for our energy business in SEA countries.Job DescriptionWe are seeking energy professionals to deliver innovative green fuel solutions to our clients. As part of an interconnected team, you will provide engineering and consultancy services to the energy sector from conceptual design to detailed feasibility studi. As part of the AFRY team, you will be involved in feasibility studies, conceptual design, technical due diligence, FEED, and basic engineering across Green Fuels (such as green hydrogen and ammonia) projects in Asia.QualificationsRequired Skills and Experience
  • Degree in Chemical Engineering from a recognized university
  • 5-12 years of process engineering/design experience with some experience specifically in Green Hydrogen and Ammonia required.
  • Strong experience in Blue/Green Hydrogen production technologies (e.g., Electrolysis, SMR, ATR).
Key Responsibilities
  • Lead feasibility assessments and conceptual design for Green Hydrogen and Ammonia projects.
  • Develop process calculations for Green Fuel storage, transportation (pipeline, vessels), and Electrolyzer systems (a plus).
  • Evaluate and finalize engineering scope, technical specifications, P&IDs, PFDs, design calculations, and equipment sizing for Green Hydrogen/Ammonia plant complexes.
  • Support process engineering activities including design reviews, risk assessments, and HAZOP studies.
  • Develop cost estimations and calculate key financial metrics such as NPV, IRR, LCOE, and LCOH.
  • Contribute to business development (BD) activities such as proposals, presentations, and client meetings.
  • Ensure strict adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices in process design and safety.
  • Collaborate across teams, managing multiple interfaces, priorities, and deliverables effectively.
  • Write detailed, professional technical reports and documentation.
  • Prior experience in Ammonia/Fertilizer plant design or operations is an advantage.
