What you'll do:
As a Manufacturing Manager, you will play a pivotal role in managing the production of required targets in line with customer specifications. You will be responsible for driving process improvements on Overall Equipment Effectiveness through data analysis. Your role will also involve conducting risk assessments of processes within the department. You will work closely with other departmental managers to ensure production targets are met. Furthermore, you will manage, coach, and develop a high-performing manufacturing team that meets agreed objectives.
  • Manage the production of required daily/weekly/monthly targets in line with customer specifications, maintaining quality and delivery expectations while minimising costs
  • Responsible for plant production, financial performance, meeting customer requirements and maintaining orderly and productive operation of planned activities
  • Communicate and liaise with other departmental managers regarding throughput of stock to ensure production targets are met
  • Drive process improvement on Overall Equipment Effectiveness through appropriate data analysis
  • Conduct risk assessments of processes and tasks within the department
  • Ensure that the function operates in accordance with health, safety, and environment policies to ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors
  • Manage, coach, and develop a high-performing manufacturing team that meets agreed objectives
  • Work as part of the management team to share ideas and improve operations
  • Prepare the annual manufacturing budget and forecasts along with all capital expenditure proposals
What you bring:
The ideal candidate for this Manufacturing Manager position brings a wealth of experience from a food cannery environment. With a minimum of 20 years' experience in this field, you have developed strong communication skills that allow you to effectively motivate your team. Your understanding of business finance and ability to manage budgets will be crucial in this role. You also have a good understanding of Advance Product Quality Planning, Kaizen, and lean manufacturing. Your strong presentation skills and proficiency in English and MS Office will be highly valued.
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Manufacturing or Engineering preferred
  • Minimum 20 years of experience in food cannery environment
  • Good understanding of business finance with ability to manage budgets
  • Effective communication skills with ability to motivate team
  • Strong presentation skills with ability to communicate strategic plans
  • Understanding of Advance Product Quality Planning - APQP, Kaizen, lean manufacturing
  • Good English proficiency and high ability in utilising MS Office
