Mathematics Teacher – Intensive English Programme (IEP)

Position: 50% (Part-Time)
Reports to and is Evaluated by: IEP PrincipalMajor Responsibilities and Functions:
Support the school's vision, mission, and objectives.
Work collaboratively with IEP teachers, students, and the school community to create a thriving, dynamic, and aspirational written, taught, and assessed curriculum.
Take responsibility for the planning, delivery, and assessment of the Mathematics curriculum within the Intensive English Programme.
Support the school's curricular and philosophical commitments as an IB World School, with particular attention to supporting English language learners.
Incorporate best practices and innovative approaches to learning and teaching, especially those suited to English language learners.
Provide guidance and support to fellow educators, as appropriate.
Meet with parents, teachers, and members of the Prem community, as requested by the IEP Principal, to promote and explain the IEP curriculum and philosophy.
Work closely with the IEP team to improve teaching practices and foster students' enjoyment of, and confidence in Mathematics.
Attend relevant professional development and share learning with the IEP team.
Use assessment data (including pre-assessment, formative, summative, and standardised assessments) to inform teaching, learning, and curriculum development.
Promote student inquiry and encourage students to take agency in their own learning.
Use teaching methodologies that develop students' mathematical knowledge, conceptual understanding, skills, and positive learning dispositions, while supporting their English language acquisition.
Encourage transdisciplinary learning within the IEP to support meaningful, connected learning experiences.
Support a smooth transition for students moving from the IEP to either the Junior School or Senior School programmes, as appropriate.The successful candidate should hold the following qualifications and experience:
Degree in Education or equivalent (Bachelor's or Master's level).
Minimum of three years' teaching experience.
Experience working with English language learners is highly desirable.
Experience with the IB curriculum is an advantage.
Bilingual proficiency in Thai and English is preferred.Desired personal attributes include the following:
Bilingual fluency (Thai-English) to support student learning, parent communication, and collaboration with the school community.
