- Own and define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for finance-related products
- Act as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and development teams
- Translate complex financial, regulatory, and operational requirements into clear user stories and acceptance criteria
- Maintain and prioritize the product backlog based on business value, risk, and customer impact
- Lead PI planning, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and reviews
- Ensure alignment with financial regulations, compliance standards, and audit requirements
- Collaborate with UX to ensure intuitive and compliant user experiences
- Analyze product performance using KPIs, financial metrics, and customer feedback
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in financial processes and systems
- Mentor junior product owners and contribute to product best practices
- 8+ years of experience in Product Management / Product Ownership
- Strong hands-on experience as a Product Owner in Agile/Scrum environments
- Proven ability to manage complex backlogs and multiple stakeholders
- Experience working with cross-functional, distributed teams
- Strong understanding of financial systems and processes, such as:
- Accounting & General Ledger
- Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)
- Payments, Billing, Invoicing
- Reconciliation & Reporting
- Risk, Compliance, or Regulatory systems
- Experience with financial regulations (SOX, IFRS, GAAP, PCI-DSS, etc.) is a plus
- Ability to work closely with engineering on APIs, data flows, and system integrations
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working with data, metrics, and dashboards
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Strong decision-making and prioritization abilities
- Leadership mindset with a customer-first approach
- Experience in Banking, FinTech, Insurance, or Financial SaaS
- CSPO / SAFe PO / PMP certification
- Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Workday, etc.)
- Exposure to cloud-based financial platforms
