- Establishing clear direction for the Company with long and short-range operating plans tied to budgets and aligned with the Group's Vision, Mission, and Strategy.
- Providing effective and efficient operations and services; researching and recommending new lines of business with developed business plans and implementation strategies; and deliver overall profitability of the subsidiary operations.
- Being responsible for improving efficiency and increasing departmental profits while managing the Company's overall operation
- Overseeing several elements in a business, including hiring staff, operating budgets, and managing the commercial offer to maintain to attract more customers.
- Accomplishing the company's objectives by establishing plans, budgets, and results measurements; reviewing progress; and making mid-course corrections.
- Developing strategic plans by studying technological and financial opportunities, presenting analysis, and recommending objectives.
- Overseeing day-to-day operations, assigning performance goals and assuring their completion.
- Increasing management's effectiveness by orienting, training, coaching, counselling, and managers communicating values, strategies, and objectives; assigning accountabilities; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results; developing incentives; cultivating a climate for offering information and opinions and providing educational opportunities.
- Recruiting, onboarding, and training high-performing employees to achieve sales, profitability, market share, and business plan objectives.
- Resolving internal staff conflicts efficiently and to the mutual benefit of those involved Building company image by collaborating with customers, government, community organizations, and employees; and enforcing ethical business practices.
- Maintaining quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
- Ensuring staff follows health and safety regulations as well as any legal provisions applicable.
- Master's degree in chemical engineering or Chemistry or similar. MBA strongly appreciated.
- Proven experience in a managerial role as Commercial Direct or Business Unit Manager, or Export Sales Director in fine/specialty chemical businesses.
- Proven experience in dealing with overseas markets and customers and in dealing with an integrated production plant.
- Understanding of direct/indirect sales organizations and dynamics and good knowledge of operations.
- Good knowledge of Pressure Sensitive Adhesives, Coatings, and Textile markets is a plus.
- Above-average ability to motivate and lead people and to hold employees accountable with a team-oriented and collaborative approach to work.
- Fluent in Thai, both written and spoken, is mandatory.
- Excellent English, both written and spoken, is expected.
