Design Engineer

• Conduct engineering calculations studies on products and product application, including but not limited to C.R.P. and bar systems products by applying international codes such as ISO, EN and ACI.
• Prepare and review engineering drawings to ensure compliance with applicable methods and calculations.
• Provide product calculation based on FEA simulation and other applicable approaches.
• Develop experimental plans for validation of new calculation results and methods with other related departments (i.e. Bar Systems, Product Performance, Quality and Production)
• Provide recommendations and proposals related to the design or the manufacturing of products based on calculation and simulation.
• Ensure calculations are relevant and correlate with experimental data.
• Summarize results and conclusions in calculation notes / reports. Fill and archive the different reports.
• Develop tools and calculation methodologies that are most adapted to the range of products /parts.
• Coordinate and follow-up with outside agencies in case of subcontracted studies
• Participate in the definition of product requirements for supplier quality assurance based on material properties and product studies.
• Follow the product and make requested changes and corrections throughout the product life cycle.
• Manage an assigned product development or engineering change project.
• Perform risk evaluation to minimize project risks.
• Support technical sourcing/investigation wherever applicable.

• Bachelor or Master Degree in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• Min. 3 years of technical experience or product development in construction, metal or steel products or experienced in mechanical engineering company.
• Good communication in English
• Strong experience in CAD software and SolidWorks program is essential.
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel and Word
• Knowledge of finite element analysis (FEA)
• Knowledge of common steel production process such as forge,heat treatment, rolling, machining, etc.
• Good knowledge of various international standard relating toproduct design and application.
