Purchasing Specialist (New Plant Set-Up)

• Ensuring efficient and effective procurement of commodities, materials, and services, bridging local needs with global sourcing strategies.
• Overseeing technical and market data synthesis for relevant raw materials, components, and services.
• Procuring commodities, materials, and services aligned with the Global Commodity Strategy.
• Monitoring and improving supply processes within the area of responsibility.
• Synthesizing technical and market data for business-critical materials, components, and services.
• Contributing to defining purchasing programs in line with global procurement needs.
• Sourcing of suppliers, look for the best sources for both direct and indirect suppliers, perform price comparison and best price negotiation.
• Informing all activities or problems and submitting reports as requested by management.
• Participating, involving, influencing, and ensuring all quality issues by suppliers are duly focused.
• Working with relevant departments such as SCM, Finance, QA and Warehouse.
• Following and setting up SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) in the purchasing department.
• Handling additional tasks and projects as assigned.

• 5-6 years of working experience in a purchasing role.
• Bachelor's degree in technical areas or Economics.
• Good command of spoken and written English.
• Experience in both indirect and direct purchasing.
• Able to travel internationally for training.
• Strong problem-solving skills and negotiation skills.
• Proactive mindset.
